Before joining LUNO Law Chambers, David served as an attorney at M.R.M. Lamwai & Co. Advocates, a renowned Tanzanian law firm focused on civil litigation. During his time there, he was involved in a wide range of civil and corporate litigation matters, honing his skills and deepening his understanding of Tanzania's legal landscape.

Adv. Pongolela has maintained an unbroken legal practice within the Tanzanian jurisdiction and has appeared before nearly all levels of courts in the country. His litigation experience includes handling landmark cases before the Court of Appeal, High Court of Tanzania, Tax Tribunals, and Land Tribunals.

He is a registered Advocate of the High Court of Tanzania and subordinate courts. Academically, David holds a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) from the University of Dar es Salaam (Class of 2015) and a Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice from the Law School of Tanzania (2016). He is also a trained Arbitrator, certified in Mediation and Arbitration Procedures by the Tanzania Institute of Arbitrators.
